the Mayor of Rosalia

Mayor, Ken Jacobs, is the current Mayor for the Town of Rosalia. His current term started in 2006 and the length of term is four years. Mayor Jacobs is a farmer in the Palouse area and has been around this area since 1963. He started his career in Rosalia's government in 1978 as a Council Member. In 1982, Mayor Jacobs furthered his career being elected Mayor and served two consecutive terms until 1990. In 1994, Mayor Jacobs entered the political race and was elected Mayor and served two years. Again in 2002, Mayor Jacobs was elected yet again to serve four terms and was re-elected in 2006.
Mayor Jacobs was instrumental in creating the Battle Day Museum and continues his involvement in this great and educational Museum. Mayor Jacobs was also involved in starting Rosalia's annual Battle Days Celebration which was started in 1970. In 1994, Mayor Jacobs worked with Gary Anderberg to donate the old Chevrolet garage. The lot was then demolished and today is a beautiful mini park. Since his term in 2002, the Town has received over a million dollars in grant funding. He talked with a local family and was able to secure a donated building for a new library. A church and parsonage was donated to the town, which Mayor Jacobs proposed to the Town Council to turn the parsonage into a much needed medical clinic.
Mayor Jacobs is dedicated to the Town of Rosalia and its residents. His children both graduated from Rosalia High School and currently his grandchildren attend Rosalia Elementary School.
